Meet Duke! <br/>Duke is a neutered male Australian Cattle dog (blue heeler) mix with a striking white coat with black spots and a heart as big as his personality! This handsome boy came to us through no fault of his own; his previous owner simply could not give him the time and energy he deserves. <br/>Duke is the TOTAL PACKAGE - he gets along with other dogs, cats, and kids! As always, we recommend a meet and greet prior to adoption to be sure he is the perfect for the whole crew. He's housebroken and already knows commends such as sit, stay, lay down, shake, and kennel/bed. His previous owner mentioned he also walks wonderfully on leash and absolutely loves getting out for strolls. <br/>Fair warning - when Duke gets excited, he likes to greet people with his signature "smile." This can look intimidating at first, but don't be fooled, as it's just his way of saying hi! He believes everyone is his new friend. We do recommend a secure fenced yard as he does not know a stranger, and will run up to new people to greet them as well. Duke is also a huge foodie and is known for scarfing his food, so a slow feeder will be a must to make sure he's not getting sick.<br/>Being in a new environment has made Duke a little nervous at first, but give him a moment of your time outside and you'll quickly see his playful, loving personality shine through.
