He weighs 45 pounds. With his classic Bulldog face and a wagging tail to match, Duke is full of personality and heart.
He recently had one eye removed, so he's still learning to navigate with this new perspective-sometimes a little wobbly, but always happy, curious, and ready for adventure. He's young, full of energy, and coming out of his shell more and more every day. He knows some commands and is eager to please, making him an ideal student.

He loves being outside, going for walks, and snuggling. He's discovering toys, but is far more interested in being near his person. He's very well behaved in the car, and although he enjoys looking out the window from the back seat, he eventually settles down and goes to sleep. He's also been going to work with me, charmed all of my colleagues, and proven to be an extremely well-mannered office dog.

Duke will require someone who is bully breed savvy and willing to spend time working on training and giving him structure. He has not been tested with children (although, because of his exuberance and strength, I would suggest no young children) or cats. His reactions to dogs have been mixed. Slow, gradual introductions will be needed if other dogs are going to be part of his new family.
He's ridiculously cute and gets love from everyone who passes by him. If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who's equal parts spunky and sweet, Duke Ellington might just be your new duet partner for life.
