Meet Duke. A 7 y/o Daschund mix.<br/><br/>Duke has had a rough start to life. He was surrendered to foster care when he was about 2.He lived with his first foster mom for 7 months. Then he was adopted by a wonderful woman whom he cherished. He was living his best life. His adopted mom passed away 3weeks ago, so Duke is now in foster care again. Duke is slow to warm up to new people, but once he trusts you, he will love you forever!. For an adult dog, he still acts like a baby. He loves a stuffed toy and will bring one with him everywhere.. He is also a fan of shoes. Hedoesn’t chew them, but if one goes missing, it is usually found in his bed! Keep the closetdoor closed if that’s a problem. Duke gets along with other small dogs. Duke loves to go forwalks on the leash. He likes going to the dog park or for a car ride. He’s even good on longtrips! He will enjoy sleeping under the covers with you. Duke is crate trained and housebroken. He hasn’t been around children, so an adult only home is best.
