Duke's Story
Duke is a very handsome, polite boy. He has nice manners and knows some commands. He is gentle and kind. Duke is a perfect medium size and medium energy. He plays well with other dogs.

We believe Duke to be approximately 4-5 years old, he weighs 70 lbs.. He came to us from a multi dog household.

Duke was in foster care briefly and this is what his foster mama has to say about him: " First and foremost he is a very sweet and soulful boy. He is very affectionate and a world class snuggler. Duke is VERY house trained. Over the four days, he did not show any aggression towards people. Even when a small child ran up to him, he was interested, but non-reactive. He was a wonderful house mate and easy to have in the home. He was a great mix of affectionate and independent. He didn't chew any of my things, and he was gentle when he played with his toys. Duke was interested in chasing squirrels, but he was not totally fixated on them. I would say his prey drive is moderate. He is very treat driven, but he did not show any resource guarding behavior with food or toys. He is eager to please and learns very quickly. He rides very well in the car, and even sat nicely on a restaurant patio. He is a fun, outgoing, adventurous guy by nature, very special and sweet guy."

Duke was in a home briefly and his drive to chase the house cat was too intense for his adopter. No cats for this boy.
