DUKE's Story

To apply for a specific dog with Bulldog Haven NW rescue or submit a general application, please visit http://www.bulldoghavennw.org/10_apply.html

Duke is a 2 year, 34 pound, handsome French/English bulldog mix boy. Duke is curious -- he likes nothing better than to figure out new places and people, Duke is smart -- he is a quick study on the basic obedience commands of "sit", "down","come" and is still working on "off", "stay", and "on by". Duke walks well on a leash. Duke is crate trained, he sees his crate as his safe place, and is prepared to immediately go out to potty upon awakening. Duke currently lives in a Kirkland, Washington foster home where he enjoys helping his foster dad in the garden. Duke's job is to put all squirrels, birds, and rabbits on notice that he's on patrol. He has lots of fun and has caught nothing so far. Duke's drive to chase probably rules out living with small animals or children, and he would enjoy being canine king of his castle. Duke is a self-entertainer, whether it's a new flower to examine, or a squeaky toy that just won't quit, Duke is on it. While Duke is smart, curious, and keen, his most outstanding characteristic is his love of people and willingness to chill with them. If Duke could write his resume, we're pretty sure he would list cuddling as his life objective. Duke brings positivity, companionship, and love to the human world. This is a boy who has a lot to learn, a lot to give, and he'd love to do all that (and more!) with his forever people. Duke is a charming little boy.
