Duke's Story

How this pet arrived:Duke was brought in by a community member on April 30, 2026. Why this pet is the one for you:Duke came into our care as a stray and is looking for a patient, understanding home to call his own. One thing we know about Duke is that he absolutely loves food - so much so that he may guard his meals and high-value items. Proper handling and management will help set him up for success as he adjusts to having all the good things in life. Duke would also benefit from a refresher on house manners and continued positive guidance. He's an active, smart guy who can jump fences, so adopters should be prepared to provide secure containment and supervision. With time, structure, and patience, Duke has the potential to thrive in his new home. At SDHS:This pet has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed/neutered. This pet is now ready for adoption!<br/>Shy/Fearful Dog: This pet requires a virtual behavior consult, please watch THIS video to learn more about them. Primary Color: White Secondary Color: Cream Weight: 61.8lbs Age: 2yrs 1mths 2wks Animal has been Neutered
