Duke's Story

How this pet arrived:Duke was brought in by a community member on April 30, 2026. Why this pet is the one for you:Meet Duke, a handsome guy who may be a little timid when first meeting new people, but give him a little time and you'll see his more affectionate side shine through. Once he feels comfortable, Duke loves attention from his trusted people and will happily lean in for pets or roll over for belly rubs. Duke is an active pup who loves zooming around the yard and may try to make his own adventure if left alone outside, so he'll need a home ready to keep him safely entertained. He can be a little sensitive about sharing food and has had mixed experiences with other dogs, so he may be happiest as your one and only. If you already have a dog at home, we'd be happy to do a meet-and-greet to see if it's a good fit! Due to his shy nature, Duke is looking for a home where any children are 12 and up, and we ask that the whole family come meet him. Duke would love patient adopters who can keep his world small at first and help him settle in at his own pace. He can't wait to grow with his new people - come meet him today! At SDHS:Duke has been vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. He is now ready for adoption!<br/>Shy/Fearful Dog: Duke requires a virtual behavior consult, please watch THIS video to learn more about him. Primary Color: White Secondary Color: Cream Weight: 61.8lbs Age: 2yrs 2mths 2wks Animal has been Neutered
