Duckie's Story

So very nice to meet you all, my name is Duckie! I'm a 1 year old, neutered male, Terrier mix that currently weighs 26lbs. I'm a silly, energetic, and playful little man that would love to go home with a family that is ready to provide lots of exercise, training, socialization, and of course love! My favorite activities include chasing balls, jumping as high as I can go and getting scritches. If you are looking for an action packed summer, I would love to be your sidekick! Duckie ID#A967195
I recently went on a sleepover with a PHS Volunteer! Here's how I did:
Duckie was pretty neutral towards both dogs and humans. He did try to chase cats and pigeons while we were out. He barks, but not that much. The few times he did were either during play (I think he was saying 'I want to play more') and when he was in the car and not allowed in the front seat. He was fine with fireworks over the holiday weekend. He's very adventurous, loves being outside, and has a lot of energy so he'll require longer walks or more exercise. He's fairly easy to walk because he doesn't pull. In the home he was comfortable with the stairs but did not like being left alone. He chewed up some things when we left him for a short time so be prepared to work on some separation anxiety. He enjoys lap time after he's had a chance to get his wiggles out. He slept through the night and takes naps during the day once he is calm. He seems to be on his way to being potty trained. He had one accident but it was minor. Duckie is a happy go lucky young guy that would be perfect for someone that is looking for a sidekick.
