Duckie's Story

Duckie is very sweet, gentle and goofy boy that was found as a stray. Duckie is
a velcro dog who will follow you from room to room. He’s apt to jump up presumptively even if you’re just reaching for the remote. He is very loyal and attentive to his people; truly your best friend. He likes to supervise while you mow the lawn; he will follow you like a shadow because he wants to be at your side.

Duckie is well mannered with people and other animals in his foster home. When people come over, Duckie meets them at the door and happy to have someone new pay him attention. He knows some basic commands and takes verbal direction well. He loves his crate and naps in it often. He is generally pretty low key, but gets super excited when his people come home and does have his spurts of Boxer energy so a yard would be great for him.

Duckie loves his stuffed toys, especially tearing them apart, but he recognizes the difference between what’s acceptable for chewing and what’s not. Though Duckie hasn't been around children in foster care, he would likely be good with kids of any age. His rough play with his stuffies may be alarming to some young children.

Duckie is respectful of the foster's small senior dogs- he knows when they have had enough and he won't pester them. We don't know how he would be with cats. This sweetheart is an exceptional guy and even polite when begging!

Duckie is being fostered in Tallahassee, FL.
