Duck's Story
Meet Duck, a 4-month-old, 24-pound Golden Retriever–Border Collie mix with a big brain, a soft heart, and a goofy streak just waiting to shine.

Duck is a sweet, intelligent puppy who is off to an impressive start in life. He is affectionate, eager to learn, and full of fun energy. He’s already doing wonderfully with kennel training, is litter box trained, and is also successfully going outside to potty. Duck is a quick learner who genuinely wants to do the right thing and thrives when he has clear guidance.

He can be a little shy when first meeting new people, but once he feels safe and comfortable, his personality really blossoms. Duck becomes playful, outgoing, and very people-oriented, forming strong bonds with those he trusts.

Duck does well with other dogs and cats and must be adopted into a home that already has another animal companion. Having a buddy helps him build confidence and learn how to navigate the world, and he truly benefits from having another animal to learn from and grow alongside.

Because of his Golden Retriever and Border Collie mix, Duck is a high-energy, highly intelligent puppy who will thrive in an active home. He’ll do best with regular exercise, mental enrichment, and continued training. Duck would be an excellent candidate for dog sports, advanced obedience, trick training, hiking adventures, or an active lifestyle with someone looking for a true partner.

If you’re looking for a puppy who is loving, goofy, and ready to grow into an incredible adventure or working companion, Duck may be the perfect match.

Duck’s sibling Goose is also available for adoption. While they have different personalities, both are sweet, well-started puppies.

Medical Information:
• Neutered
• Up to date on vaccinations
• Heartworm tested (negative)
• Fecal tested (negative)

Adoption Fee: $575
This fee includes all medical care and helps support our ongoing rescue efforts for other dogs in need.

Interested in adopting Duck?
Please contact his foster at:
Phone: 913-215-1010
Email: barkindogsrescue@gmail.com
