She is affectionate, playful, social, and loves being part of whatever her people are doing. Her one exception is cats — Duchess needs a cat-free home.<br/><br/>Duchess does have a rare autoimmune disorder that requires daily medication. The good news is that she responds very well to her treatment, and when she is taking her medication as prescribed, you would never know anything is wrong with her. She plays, enjoys life, and acts just like any other happy dog.<br/><br/>Because of her immune condition, Duchess cannot receive routine vaccinations, so her future family will need to be mindful about unnecessary exposure to unfamiliar dogs and high-traffic dog areas. She would not be a good candidate for dog parks, doggy daycare, or similar environments.<br/><br/>Don't let her medical condition overshadow what an amazing dog she is.
