Duchess

Duchess is a five year old sweet and affectionate girl who wants all the love and pets just for herself. She is a timid girl if you raise your voice to her. She came from a house that the discipline was a bit harsh so she cowers if she thinks you are upset. She will need calm and steady discipline. She is high energy and full of love. She needs to be in a home with older children. She does great with my 20 month old nephew and has been around him his entire life. He lays on her and crawls on her and she doesn't seem to mind. If you have younger children/toddlers I would do a slow introduction and let her get comfortable. She loves to give kisses and can over whelm a small child with her very thick and sloppy tongue. She is a very good girl and is very willing to please. She loves her outdoor time, but really likes being a little couch potato if allowed. She would be a lap dog if you would allow it. She craves love and attention. We try to discourage being on the furniture, but her previous owners allowed it so it is a long process to try and break. She would do best in a home where she has a friend who is not dominate. She takes an equal role with her house mates. She is currently in a house with other large dogs and 2 small puppies and she is doing great with them all.
