Duchess

Meet Duchess!

At just 2 years old, Duchess is a beautiful 49-pound Pit Bull with plenty of love to give. She came to the shelter as a stray, so we're still getting to know her personality, but one thing is clear—she's ready to find a family to call her own.

When Duchess first arrived, she was a little nervous, especially around men. As she's settled in, she's continued to show that she appreciates patience and kindness while she builds trust. Because of her sensitive nature, we recommend a home with children ages 10 and up who can respect her space and help her feel comfortable.

Duchess enjoys getting outside for walks and does well on a leash, though she can pull a little when she's excited. With continued guidance and positive reinforcement, she'll only get better!

Duchess is looking for a home without cats. If you already have a dog, a meet-and-greet will be needed to make sure everyone is a good match.

If you're looking for a loyal companion who just needs a little time to blossom, Duchess may be the perfect addition to your family. Come meet this sweet girl and see if she's the one you've been waiting for!

Please apply for Duchess at https://www.gloucestercountynj.gov/FormCenter/Animal-Shelter-5/PreAdoption-Application-50
