DUCHESS's Story

Why not add a little pittie-mix royalty to your life with Ms. Duchess?
Her foster mom, Desiree, chose that name for her due to her refined, collected nature... and for the fact that 'she thinks she's the boss dog.' -For this reason Duchess will need to go to an experienced big-dog person and/or family.

Duchess loves watching the other dogs in her foster home play, adores lounging on the sofa in the AC, is house trained, crate trained, sweet, and prefers just hanging nearby to 'her human...' which is what she needs... her very own person or persons.

Twice in a few months Duchess was surrendered to a crowded, stressful (all shelters are stressful on pets) shelter by the same woman, a young, poor, single mother. She tried to make it work, and while we know 'I'd be homeless with my dogs before giving them up to a shelter,' it's best to try not to judge others as we haven't walked in their shoes. Duchess has since gone on to be adopted and returned two more times now.

Please consider adopting this sweet, lovely, approximately 1 year old, 50 lb female dog in need of a forever home (that knows how to implement boundaries, rules and regulation for a stubborn yet sweet pittie mix).

Great benefits of adopting a pet from foster care: we can take Duchess to your home for the meet and greet to assure it will be a good fit, and could even arrange for a weekend stay if needed for the right family to be sure it's a good fit.

Reach out via this post, or to the foster directly at 307-349-5017.

Jessica Pita,
Founder, Paw and Feather Plan Inc
Pets Belong in Planning
