Drizzy's Story
Meet Drizzy. Aka: a bowling ball with legs, a professional couch ornament, and a 13/10 certified heckin’ good boy.

Drizzy is about 3 years old and currently rocking a big ol’ blockhead attached to a short, thick little body that weighs around 50 pounds. The vet would like him to gain another 10 pounds and Drizzy said, “Finally someone understands me.” This man is deeply committed to snacks, second dinners, and emotional support treats.

Before coming to rescue, Drizzy was found abandoned as a stray alongside another dog in Danville. His buddy got adopted first, but Drizzy handled it like a champ because honestly? His true soulmate is people. And food. Mostly food. But definitely people too.

Drizzy currently lives with four other dogs ranging from 35 to 90 pounds and does great with them. He’s not the type to wrestle in the yard for six straight hours. His vibe is more “parallel play and synchronized napping.” He likes having dog friends around but would much rather cuddle with you on the couch while chewing a toy and pretending he’s absolutely starving despite having eaten 14 minutes ago.

This dude is EASY. He’s crate trained, house trained, has fantastic recall, and basically comes pre-installed with manners. He sits automatically when you stop walking and honestly acts like he’s been here before. His biggest challenge? He’s a bit of a trip hazard because he firmly believes personal space is a government conspiracy.

Drizzy is not looking for a marathon runner. If your idea of a perfect day is hiking 12 miles at sunrise, he respectfully asks that you leave him at home with snacks and cable television. He prefers short walks, backyard sunbathing, car rides, couch naps, and chewing on toys while staring at you like a Victorian orphan who hasn’t eaten in weeks.

His dream home includes:
• A couch. Preferably with stairs because little thick kings deserve accessibility.
• A mountain of chew toys.
• A human willing to share snacks responsibly.
• Maximum cuddle time.
• Minimum cardio.

If you’re looking for a goofy, affectionate, low-maintenance potato with a giant head and an even bigger heart, Drizzy is ready to move in and immediately become the center of your universe.

Apply at rescueapittie.org
Est DOB 03/21/2023
