Prospective adopters should fill out an on-line application at our website www.sagreyhoundadoption.org . An adoption coordinator will contact you. After that, a home check will be scheduled. If that is successful and you are approved for adoption, you will begin meeting dogs.If you decide to pursue adoption, we require that you complete an adoption contract. You will have 10 day trial foster to adopt period before the adoption is finalized. The adoption fee is $400 for dogs under 8 yrs and $300 for dogs 8+ yrs. Adoption fees for Irish greyhounds are higher due to transport costs. This includes neuter/spay, a minor dental cleaning, shots, de-worming, heart worm testing and micro-chipping and treatment of any medical conditions or injuries pre-adoption, a martingale collar and leash and one dose of Heartgard .
