Draco's Story

Meet Draco!

4 years
83 lbs
Neutered male

Draco is a 4-year-old neutered male Doberman who came to us from a shelter in Mississippi and has quickly proven himself to be an absolute dream dog. Calm, affectionate, and endlessly loving, Draco is the kind of companion who just wants to be close to his people.

He is fully house trained and crate trained and has a naturally low energy demeanor. Draco enjoys leisurely walks and light playtime but is happiest lounging nearby, especially if he can rest his head in your lap. He does wonderfully with other dogs, cats, and people of all ages, making him an easy fit for many different households.

True to his breed, Draco isn’t much of a barker, though he may let out a few alert barks if someone gets too close to the yard. He walks beautifully on a leash and was an absolute gentleman at the vet during his treatments—calm, tolerant, and cooperative.

Draco has a soft spot for toys, especially stuffed animals and Benebones, but his most prized possessions are his lamby stuffed toys. He carries them around gently, grooms them, and treats them like his babies—they clearly bring him comfort and joy. It’s one of the sweetest things you’ll ever see.

Affection is Draco’s love language. He adores cuddling, sleeping in bed with his people, cozy blankets, and any soft surface he can curl up on. He’s goofy, friendly, playful, and incredibly gentle. Fun fact: Draco loves all food—and yes, we mean any treat offered. While he doesn’t have official nicknames, his foster lovingly refers to him as a “goober,” and it fits perfectly.

Draco melts into anyone who gives him attention and would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a laid-back, snuggly best friend to share quiet walks, cozy naps, and lots of love. If you’re searching for a Doberman with a soft heart and an even softer cuddle game, Draco might just be your perfect match.

Interested in adopting?
