Dozer 's Story
Dozer is guessed to be born around 12/27/25. He is a neutered male puppy. He is super sweet and affectionate as well as smart! Dozer is working on "sit" and potty training, although he is doing a remarkable job at both! We assume he will grow to be a medium sized dog and might be a black-mouth cur or mix.

https://www.purple-paws.org/pet-adoption-application.html

Friendly reminders to keep in mind when you are thinking to adopt a puppy:
- It is your puppies first time experiencing the world! So new things are often super exciting or super scary.
- A puppy won’t understand the best way to explore new things and places until shown how. This will result in doing things such as barking excessively, whining, and especially chewing up things that they shouldn’t.
- Chewing things they shouldn’t is basically inevitable! Especially when they get bored, curious, or when they start to teeth. They will need patient redirection and chew sticks/toys. Make sure to monitor while in use to keep your puppy safe.
- Puppies need 18+ hours of sleep a day, this helps their growing brains and bodies. Getting enough rest helps curb some of these restless behaviors stated above.
- Puppies do not develop bladder control until 4-6 months old. Small breed pups will take even longer. They need someone dedicated to taking them out many times a day, some may even need many potty trips an hour to get the hang of it.
With the use of Positive Reinforcement, patience and understanding, your puppy will be able to grow into a happy and healthy adult dog!
