Downy Fluff's Story

--FOSTER PUPDATE--
Downy Fluff A184135
28 lb. spayed female, approx 1 1/2 years old

Hazel is a 1.5-year-old bully mix with a big personality, expressive eyes, and the cutest little "grumble old lady trapped in a young dog body" energy. She's the perfect mix of adventure buddy and couch potato.

Her favorite activities include:
* slow sniffy walks
* dramatic flopping on the couch after said walks
* supervising your daily activities
* following her favorite humans around like a tiny shadow
* snuggles

Her skills :
- potty trained
- walks nicely on the leash
- mastered sit and stay
- working on down
- beginning to have a good recall

Hazel is happiest once she feels safe and settled. After only a short time in foster care, she's already learning how nice it is to relax, nap peacefully, and just be a dog.

She's very people-oriented and bonds deeply with her humans, but she can be nervous around unfamiliar dogs and is still building confidence. Because of this, Hazel would do best as the only dog in the home or with very slow, thoughtful introductions or a dog with strong social skills

She's also uncomfortable around very young children at the moment, so we're looking for a home with kids 10+ who can respect her space and help her continue building trust at her own pace.

Hazel is currently being treated for heartworm, but don't let that scare you -- think of it more like a slight engine tune-up than a major issue 😄 She's doing great and still enjoys calm adventures and relaxing walks with plenty of sniff breaks.

Hazel is looking for a patient, loving home that understands that some of the best dogs just need a little time to fully bloom. Once she trusts you, you'll have a loyal best friend, professional cuddle supervisor, and full-time emotional support shadow.

Bonus points if you enjoy road trips, cozy evenings, and being followed to the bathroom 🐾

This pet is in a foster home!
