DOUGIE's Story
We would like to introduce you to our friend DOUGIE. He came to our pound as a stray after running around Freeport for a few days. DOUGIE is between 1-2 years and came to us in neglectful condition. His ears and skin were infected; he had a rash and missing fur. DOUGIE also tested positive for Lyme. Everything was treated and DOUGIE is now in good health. He joined the Cell Dog Training program and the local state prison where he has been learning housebreaking and basic obedience skills, and is doing so well, we decided it was time to begin looking for a forever family for him. DOUGIE is up to date on vaccines, neutered, crate trained and good with kids and other dogs. We don't know about cats. He is crate trained and housebroken. He is sweet and affectionate, and playful. He would do well in any family whether they are active or not.

Harrison County Dog Pound, 82900 Toot Rd.
