His chain was so short he could barely move, and he couldn’t even lie down. His collar was so tight it had to be cut off.

Just imagine living like that. Never getting to run through the grass, stretch out for a good nap, or know what it feels like to simply be a dog.

But here’s the part of Doughnut’s story that will make you smile.

You would never guess what this boy has been through by the happy, sweet little guy he is today!

Doughnut is absolutely loving his second chance at life! He’s gentle, affectionate, and so happy to get attention. He walks beautifully on a leash, does great with other dogs, and is even good with cats!

Now he just needs a family to show him that the good life isn’t temporary. That soft beds, belly rubs, and the freedom to just be a dog are his to enjoy forever.

Doughnut has already missed out on so much. Let’s make sure he doesn’t miss out on the best part.

Doughnut is a 3 year old Terrier mix that weighs 35 lbs.

-------

ADOPTING A DOG
Our dogs have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and tested for heartworms (if 7 months or older).

If you have a dog or children we ask that you bring them with you to meet our dogs to make sure it is a good match.

We are open for meet and greet adoptions at our shelter on weekends.
