She is vocal, playful, and deeply snuggly — the kind of dog who will follow you from room to room and settle contentedly in your lap at the end of the day. She has been introduced to other dogs with great success and is comfortable around farm animals, though she is still forming opinions about goats.

Dottie is well suited for families, singles, seniors, and apartment living. Wild Horizon Rescue & Sanctuary's Adoption Policy
At Wild Horizon Farm, we follow a 6-step adoption process: 1. Application: You fill out an online or paper form with basic info about your household, lifestyle, and pet care experience. 2. Screening: A volunteer reviews your application, checks references, and may ask follow-up questions to make sure you and the dog are a good match. 3. Meet & Greet: You schedule a time to meet the dog—often at our facility, a foster home, or a public space—so everyone can get acquainted. 4. Home Visit: We conduct a brief in-home check or request walk-through videos of your home and yards to confirm your living environment is safe and suitable. 5. Adoption Agreement & Fee: Once approved, you sign an adoption contract outlining care requirements and pay a modest fee (it partially covers vaccinations, spay/neuter, and microchipping). 6. Transition Support: We provide guidance on settling in your new pet and offer follow-up support—everything from behavior tips to veterinary referrals—to help you both succeed.
