Dottie's Story

Dottie is a sweet, gentle little Aussie pup who may be shy when you first meet her, but give her a little time and patience, and her personality begins to shine. Once she feels comfortable, she's all about cuddles, kisses, and making new furry friends. She absolutely loves playing with other dogs and would be happiest in a home with another friendly, confident dog to show her the ropes.

Dottie came to us from a reservation and is still learning to trust people and navigate the big world around her. Having a canine companion isn't just something she'd enjoy—it's an important part of helping her build confidence, learn, and blossom into the happy, well-adjusted dog she's meant to be.

This little girl has so much love to give. She's looking for a patient, loving family who will help her come out of her shell, celebrate her little victories, and give her the security she needs to grow.

Dottie is crate trained, house broken and is learning to walk on a leash. She is up-to-date on her vaccinations and will come with a spay discount.

Do you have a friendly pup who could be Dottie's mentor, playmate, and best friend? Dottie is ready to find her forever home and a family who will show her just how wonderful life can be! Contact kathie@herdinghaven.org if you are interested in meeting Dottie.

Our Mission
Herding Haven rescues herding dogs from shelters where they have been deemed "unadaptable" due to physical, medical or behavioral issues (or sometimes just because the shelter is out of space). We place them in foster homes, rehabilitate them and then find them "forever" homes.
