Dottie's Story

We need to brag about Dottie for a minute, because this girl absolutely melted our hearts today. She went to the farmers market this morning and did so much better than we ever could have hoped. She was a little shy at first, but before long she was happily meeting people, handing out kisses, loving on little kids, and trying to play with every dog she saw. Watching her realize that people are safe — and that she actually loves them — was just the best feeling. Foster mom was so proud of her.

So far, here’s what we know about Dottie: she’s about 6 months old, appears to be a Dalmatian mix, is spayed and up to date on vaccines, great with other dogs, and now excellent with cats once she figured out what on earth they were. She can be a little shy when meeting new people, but it’s nothing extreme, and she seems to genuinely enjoy kids too.

Adoption fee: $500 (includes vaccines to date, microchip, and spay)
Apply at www.lakesideanimalrescue.com
