Dot's Story
Meet Dot

If quirky little sidekicks with giant personalities are your thing... then buckle up because Dot is about to steal your entire heart.

Dot is a 1-year-old Jack Russell mix weighing around 18-20 pounds of pure sweetness, silliness, and cuddle addiction. He came out of an extremely high-kill shelter with an injured leg that needed a splint for stability and what appears to be an underdeveloped left eye. But don't tell Dot any of that — because this little guy is out here living life like he owns the world. ‍

His adorable little face and unique eye only make him more lovable. It gives him the most unforgettable expression that somehow perfectly matches his goofy, charming personality. And despite everything he's been through, Dot is nothing but HAPPY.

His favorite hobby? Being attached to a human at all times. Seriously, if you have a lap, congratulations... it now belongs to Dot. He would gladly spend the entire day snuggled up with his people soaking in every ounce of love he missed out on before rescue.

While he gets along wonderfully with the other dogs here, Dot definitely prefers the company of humans over running around with the pack. He enjoys walks, hanging out with his people, and being included in everyday life. He's the kind of dog that just wants to be your little shadow everywhere you go. He loves children, but of course my daughter who helps care for him is seven and she's very skilled in proper handling of a dog. As I advised with all children, they need to be respectful of the animal as well. I think he would do great in a home with children as long as they are respectful to him.

Up-to-date on vaccines and preventions Crate clean with structure and routine Dog friendly Sweet, affectionate, and hilarious Professional lap warmer

Dot has already survived more than most dogs ever should... and now he deserves the soft, safe, spoiled life he's always needed!

If you would like to have him join your family please fill out an adoption application. His $475 adoption fee covers medical up to his adoption to include vaccines, neuter, microchip, foster care and transportation from Louisiana to NY.
