DOT's Story

*If a dog/pup is still listed on petfinder we are still accepting applications on him/her. We will not respond to petfinder inquiries regarding any information already publicly posted.** Please take time to read the information provided and complete an application if interested.** Incomplete applications will not be considered.**

Hi! My name is DOT!
I am about 11 months old old and I weigh around 40 pounds. I am spayed, current on vaccines, microchipped, and on heartworm and flea prevention. I came to my rescue after being found on the side of the road, hit by a car. I sustained a broken leg, hip and pelvis. I underwent a femoral head ostectomy (FHO) with Dr. Bianucci at BluePearl. While I surely won’t be running any marathons, I’ve healed well and have normal mobility and play like a normal pup. Everyone that meets me says I’m the best pup ever. I have fantastic manners, I’m happy to go anywhere and do anything or chill on the couch. I get along famously with my canine housemates and I’ve lived with a cat too. I ride great in the car and have even been paddle boarding! 10/10 bestest girl.
My adoption fee is $450.

Please submit an application if you want to make me part of your family!
Meet and greets are scheduled with approved adopters.
Copy the link below and paste it into your browser for an application:

http://www.emailmeform.com/builder/form/wACc22HN2JDb60dtb465Z

Our adoption process consists of an application, and reference checks. We do home visits when a reference check is not enough. You must be at least 23 years old to apply to adopt.
Please fill out all fields as accurately as possible. We will not process incomplete applications.

Adoptions are made on a best home basis. If two excellent applications come in for the same dog, our policy is first in time, first in line. Our goal is to have the very best home for all our dogs. Our dogs are in private foster homes waiting to be adopted. Due to limited foster space, we are unable to hold an animal to be adopted out at a later time.

Please keep in mind that we do our best to make an educated guess as to the breeds of our rescued pets. In rescue we rarely see the parents of our dogs and puppies, and even when we do, they are usually mixed breeds as well.

We rely solely on adoption fees and donations to provide care for our rescued animals, many of whom have incurred medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The fees received act to help support the organization as a whole, allowing them to continue efforts to rescue animals.

Our Mission
Rescued in SC is an all volunteer, foster based organization dedicated to helping all breeds of dogs in need. Our dogs come in to rescue for many different reasons. Most were abandoned at high kill shelters. Regardless of their origins, our goal for every dog we have is the same: a safe, happy home where each dog is a well...
