Dory's Story

Dory is the sweetest 2 year old, 23 lb Xoloitzcuintli mix you’ll ever meet. She can be a little shy at first, but once she feels safe, her true personality shines - precious, silly, and full of playful charm. Dory loves toys and is often seen carrying them around or happily entertaining herself by throwing them around.

Dory loves to give kisses and snuggle. She will run over to you, kiss your hand a bunch, and then go back to playing - it's really funny.

Her crate is her safe space, and she genuinely enjoys relaxing in it with her toys, especially toys she can chew on. She is crate trained and making great progress with house training.

Dory does wonderfully with other dogs and would likely do fine with cats as well. Having another dog in the home is a REQUIREMENT for her, as she feels safest and most confident with a canine companion. She is not yet comfortable walking on a leash, so a securely fenced yard is also REQUIRED to allow her to potty and explore safely.

Dory is truly special and will thrive in a patient, loving home that understands her gentle nature. With the right environment, she will make an incredibly loving and joyful companion. Because she is a shy girl, she would be happiest in a home without young children.

To adopt her, please apply on www.orphanannierescue.org
Her adoption fee is $350, which includes her shots up-to-date, microchipping, spay, heartworm testing, and dental cleaning.
