My name is Dory. I'm a beagle looking for a home of my own. I heard you may be looking for a beagle to add to your family. Maybe we are made for each other!

One thing I really enjoy is snuggling with my humans, and the little humans are awesome. Playing with kids is so much fun - I just love them. I will also jump right up in your lap so I can get right in your face and cuddle. It's the best! I also get to sleep in bed with my foster parents, which is very nice. I sure hope I get to cuddle up at night with my new furever family.

I know I still have a lot to learn, but I know some things already. I understand the words "sit," "down," "stay," and "come." I also walk very nicely on my leash. I know that's important because humans usually don't appreciate being dragged down the road when they were hoping for a leisurely walk.

In addition to people, I also love hanging out with other dogs. I have foster siblings now, and it's great to have someone to play with. I sure wouldn't mind a canine sibling in my new home.

I am a little scared of new things, but after I see something once, the next time isn't a problem. All in all I am super friendly and playful.

Now that you have read about me, do I sound like a good fit for your family? Sure hope to find my furever home soon.

------

B.O.N.E.S. is a foster-home-based rescue organization serving dogs and potential adopters in the New England states. Beagles of New England States Inc. (B.O.N.E.S.), Inc.'s Adoption Policy
B.O.N.E.S. is an all-volunteer organization with a mission to rescue, re-home, and provide necessary medical care to beagles in need throughout the New England area. We endeavor to improve the quality of life for beagles in New England through outreach and education programs. We do not have a shelter for you to visit; our beagles are in foster homes where we can provide a better evaluation, as well as respond to their individual needs. Our beagles are temperament tested, spayed/neutered, and up to date with all vaccines. Rather than accepting applications for specific beagles, our adoption counselors will walk you through the process of verifying your readiness, then matching you with a beagle that meets your lifestyle and family needs. If you agree, you can meet the selected beagle to ensure that it is a match. To learn more, click the “Adoption Application” button below.
