Dorothy's Story

Meet Dorothy!

Sweet, soft-natured, and just a little shy at first, Dorothy is ready to find a home where she can truly shine.

Dorothy is part of an adorable trio of girls our vet suspects may be Chihuahua, Italian Greyhound, and Rat Terrier mixes. While she may take a few minutes to warm up to new people, once she feels comfortable her affectionate personality comes right through-and she quickly becomes a total sweetheart.

Like her sisters, Dorothy has long, elegant legs and a surprising ability to jump impressively high! Despite her athletic streak, she's very much a cuddler at heart and loves nothing more than being as close to her person as possible once she trusts you.

Dorothy is doing wonderfully with her training so far. She is crate-trained and sleeps very well through the night, is making great progress with potty training, and already walks nicely on a leash. She also enjoys spending time with other dogs and plays well with canine friends.

As she continues to grow and learn, Dorothy will benefit from some basic training and confidence building. We believe she will really thrive once she's able to focus more one-on-one without the distraction of her siblings, allowing her sweet and sensitive nature to fully blossom.

If you're looking for a gentle, loving companion who just needs a little time to come out of her shell, Dorothy may be your perfect match.

Interested in Dorothy?
