Doralee

Doralee was named in tribute of Dolly Parton. Though she definitely has Dolly's big heart and good looks, we wish she had Dolly's confidence too! Doralee is just a wee little thing in a big, big world. She definitely looks to her person for guidance, but even more so, she looks to other dogs. Her foster siblings taught her how to play, how to potty outside, and how to react to the unfamiliar. (Doralee was in a foster home with dogs of all sizes while she cared for her puppies.) <br/><br/>Now that she's in a new foster home by herself, we're learning that Doralee is still a puppy herself! She's had some hilarious puppy moments, like trying to steal underpants from the laundry basket or run away with the paper towels. At home, everything is a potential game! Doralee loves to play fetch, lounge in sunbeams, beg for cheese, and hover around her foster mom. She's so earnest and a total sweetheart. <br/><br/>But Doralee definitely misses having a confident dog sibling to lead the way. Her two braincells struggle too much when she's the only dog. She is scared of walking on the leash by herself and struggles to remember to use the bathroom outside. Although she's learning and doing her best, Doralee is just happier when another dog does the thinking for her.
