Dora's Story

What a lovely cloud is she. This gentle giant is available to accompany you on hikes in autumn and trips to the dog park. She gets along with other dogs, so she is looking forward to meeting her next doggie roommate (s). Her endearing habit when you walk up to her is to stand on her hind legs and give you a big hug while you pet her. This can turn into jumping, so she may need to be trained out of that if you wish. She's been amazing to have her at the shelter, and we would love to see her go home with her new family soon. She's hoping for a huge bed and lots of cuddles.<br/>All animal adoptions are typically $80. For puppies and kittens under the age of 6 months, adoptions are $100. For dogs, this includes the first series of vaccinations, deworming, spay/neuter, heartworm testing and heartworm preventative. For cats, this includes the first series of vaccinations, deworming, spay/neuter and feline AIDS/leukemia testing. All cats and kittens adopted from the Germantown Animal Shelter are not allowed to be declawed. Any questions should be directed to animalshelter@germantown-tn.gov. Or by calling the shelter at 901-757-7358.
