Doobie's Story

DOOBIE'S LIFE MATTERS! Just because he can't see doesn't mean he deserved to be discarded at an overcrowded shelter after his owners gave up on him.

Thankfully, he was saved from that fate, but he still needs a forever home or foster. Doobie is the sweetest, most affectionate boy with so much love to give, but because he really can't see anything, he needs a very specific setup to feel safe.

Doobie's Home Requirements:

• Fenced Yard & Leash Walks: A fenced yard is an absolute must. He feels most secure on a leash and should always be walked on one so he doesn't bump into things.

• A Dog Sibling: A canine companion is a must to help guide him and build his confidence.

• Plenty of Companionship: Because of his sight loss, Doobie needs someone who is home more often than not. He wouldn't do well being crated for long stretches, so a family with a flexible schedule, someone who works from home, or a retiree would be perfect to give him the quality time and gentle guidance he needs.

Doobie survived the shelter—now let's get him the beautiful second chance he deserves. Please share, tag, and speak up for this sweet boy!

Doobie comes with our comprehensive medical package which includes neuter, a microchip, deworming, and all core vaccinations (Parvo, Distemper, Rabies, and Bordetella), as well as current heartworm and flea/tick prevention.

Our rescue is located in Mocksville, NC and we adopt to within a few hours of the rescue.
