He came to us from a high-kill shelter in North Carolina, arriving heartworm positive and suffering from skin issues due to food allergies. But with the care of a dedicated foster home, Doobie has made an amazing recovery and is now thriving! This little guy adores other dogs – big and small – and gets along great with humans of all ages. He’s even a professional office assistant, happily tagging along to work with his foster mom and charming everyone he meets! Doobie is a cuddle bug who prefers to sleep in a cozy dog or human bed (he’s not the biggest fan of crates). While his food sensitivities require him to stay on a special diet and medication, he takes it like a champ – and it's been working wonders for his skin and overall health. RescueConnect's Adoption Policy

Our foster animals are tested, vaccinated, and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Most are also microchipped. RescueConnect requires an application for adopting any animal in our care. The application is reviewed, references are checked, and a home visit is required prior to finalization of any adoption. By submitting this application, I authorize any veterinarian or veterinary hospital/professional/kennel to furnish or discuss with any representative of RescueConnect all records in their possession regarding the care of the applicants past or present animals. This authorization shall remain valid for one year after the date it is submitted. Upon presentation of this release of information or a photocopy of same, you are directed to permit the personal review or discuss with a representative of RescueConnect the veterinary/kennel records.
