Dolly's Story

Dollie is a one-year-old Lhasa Apso that is looking for her forever home. She and her brother were sold by a show breeder to a woman that was negligent and did not take care of them. They were surrendered back to the breeder and she asked us to take them into rescue and find them homes.
Dollie is a very sweet girl that lacks a great deal in self-confidence; she is very shy when she meets you for the first time. She wants to please and be near you, she just needs a family that will give her time to gain their trust. She seems to be housebroken, is great with other dogs and rides very well in the car. Young children might be a bit much for her so a home with older kids would be best.
Dollie would very much enjoy having another dog in her new home not to mention it would help with her socialization. Since she is a youngster, she will need to stay at home parent or another dog to keep her company during your workday. Please keep in mind that she is a non-shedding breed and requires regular trips to the groomers for haircuts!
I do not think she would thrive in a townhome or apartment community with lots of action and people around. I do feel it would be overwhelming for her little soul! I know with a little bit of time and love she will gain the self-confidence she needs to be a normal well adjusted dog. If you are interested, please contact Linea at 510-579-5850.
