Dolly's Story
Greetings! My name is Dolly! The staff sometimes calls me Jolly Dolly, or Dolly Parton, I answer to anything especially if it involves treats!

A little about me: my name is Dolly, I'm roughly 1-2 years old, I'm a medium mixed breed girl weighing about 45lbs. I'm spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and up to date on my heartworm testing. You're probably wondering what's up with my eyes. I have a condition called cherry eye, affecting both eyes. This is a genetic condition that I've had as long as I can remember. The staff is arranging for a veterinarian to remove them, so I'll be available to go to a foster home until my surgery is complete.

My family fell on rough times, and decided it was best for me to find a new home. That's when they turned to the shelter for help. The shelter welcomed me with open arms, and I haven't skipped a beat since I got here.

I am very sweet and loving and I enjoy the company of other dogs. I enjoy walks, snuggles, and simply being with a human. I'm not sure how I feel about cats, it might take me some time to get used to having them as roommates, but I'm sure with some patience and training, I'd do just fine. I'd probably do best with older kids who are stable on their feet, in case my wiggle butt gets the best of me.

If you'd like to meet me, stop by the shelter Tuesday-Saturday 10am-6pm. If you have questions reach out to my friends at AVASCares2@gmail.com or by phone at 989-348-4117. Hope to meet you soon!
