Dolly's Story

Dolly ’s story is one of heartbreak, courage, and hope. At just 2 years old, this sweet American Bulldog mix was abandoned at the shelter while suffering from a painful vaginal prolapse and in the early stages of labor. She had to endure the unimaginable—delivering her puppies in those conditions. One tiny life was lost at birth, and another on the way to the emergency vet, but through it all, Dolly ’s strength and love never wavered. Rescuers rushed to save Dolly and her litter, and despite everything, she proved to be an incredible mother. Thanks to her care, her puppies grew strong and are now thriving in their forever homes. Now, it’s Dolly ’s turn to find hers. Dolly has undergone surgery to prevent future litters and to repair her prolapse, and she is scheduled for a procedure to correct entropion in both eyes—but she doesn’t let that slow her down one bit. She is house trained, crate trained, great with other dogs, and loves her walks. After all she’s endured, Dolly deserves a family who will love her as fiercely as she has loved her babies. She is resilient, affectionate, and ready to start the next chapter of her life—this time with a family who will never let her go.
