Hello! My name is Dolly. My foster mom and dad say I am the sweetest, happiest girl EVER! I came from a rescue in Alabama, and the best guess is that I am about 4 years old. If you are looking for the perfect new companion...my fosters say you are looking for ME! I am comfortable with my people in all areas of the house and sleep quietly in my crate at night. I am completely housebroken and will let you know when I need to go out in case you forget. I am well past the chewing on everything stage, making me a trustworthy bestie! I sit nicely on car rides and walk calmly without pulling on the leash. I enjoy all the smells and do not react to birds, squirrels, or deer on our bike path walks. Other friendly dogs are always welcome to be my friend and will roll over anytime for belly rubs!! There is a neighborhood cat that I think I like. I am content just to watch and not pounce. Favorite toys? Squeaky toys are amazing, and I am happy to play by myself. Don't get me wrong...I am happy to have a friend to play with and am learning how to fetch. My mouth is oh so gentle when I take treats and who doesn't love an occasional bully stick? CDR offers free group training classes that we can attend together so I can keep on practicing and perfecting some basic commands. But most of all...I promise I will be your best girl! If you would like to meet me, please fill out a preadoption application and a CDR volunteer will get back to you just as quick as they can!<br/>Delightful cuddles and happy tail wags-Dolly<br/><br/><br/>**The ADOPTION FEE for this pet is $400 which includes getting the puppy/dog up to date on rabies, distemper and bordetella vaccines, fecal test and deworming if necessary, heartworm test, spay or neuter (not including pre-surgical bloodwork) and a microchip. Free access to our weekly training classes is also included for the life of the dog, something no other rescue in the area offers.*
