DOLBY's Story
Dolby (A560588) is back in our care under incredibly sad circumstances that have nothing to do with him. This boy is wonderful, but shelter life has always been hard for him. Last time he was here, the noise, constant activity and long hours in a kennel pushed him to his limit. He struggled so much, and it broke our hearts to watch. We are hoping to avoid that entirely this time by finding him a home quickly, but we need help getting eyes on him. Dolby is full of energy and joy. It does not take much to get him excited and when he gets going, he has some of the best zoomies you will ever see. He also loves the kiddie pool and splashes around in it every chance he gets. He is affectionate, loves to be close to his people and definitely has a little bit of FOMO. If you move, he wants to know where you are going. He does well with female dogs and would do best with a dog who matches his size and energy level. Dolby can be too much for smaller or less playful dogs, not because he is rough but because he has a big, happy personality that not every dog appreciates. With the right companion, he would thrive. Dolby deserves a chance to decompress in a real home, not a shelter kennel. He is a good boy who just does not cope well with this environment and he needs someone willing to give him stability, patience and a place to stretch out all that energy. Dolby is estimated to be around 1 year and 9 months and weighs 60 pounds. All animals adopted from Huntsville Animal Services are microchipped, appropriately vaccinated, spayed/neutered and given a 30 day flea/tick preventative. Ready to meet Dolby? Stop by 4950 Triana Blvd SW in Huntsville, Alabama. No appointment is necessary to meet our available animals. All adopters must be 19 years or older and be able to provide a valid ID.
