Dojo's Story

Meet Dojo, a handsome and dynamic Malamute mix who proves that age is just a number!

We don’t actually know his true age because he arrived at the shelter we got him from as a stray. We initially thought he was about ten years old due to his stiffness and sedate temperament, but since being in our care, he has been getting younger by the day! We learned he had a thyroid disorder, which is now easily managed with a very inexpensive daily medication. He also overcame Ehrlichia, a tick-borne disease that we successfully cleared up with a month-long course of antibiotics. Now that his medical issues have been addressed, this vibrant and incredibly social boy is thriving. He absolutely loves people, gets along beautifully with other dogs, and true to his breed, he is quite talkative and will happily keep you entertained with his charming conversations. Dojo is completely house-trained and fully vetted—neutered, fully vaccinated, and entirely up-to-date on his veterinary care, including a recent dental surgery that has him feeling brand new.If you are interested in making this wonderful boy a part of your family, please fill out our adoption survey at https://www.olddogsnewdigs.com/adoption-survey/ to get the process started.
