Dodger's Story

Dodger - Professional Snuggler & Occasional Siren Impersonator

Age: 7 (The perfect age—past the puppy chaos!)
Breed: Bichon Mix (18 lbs of non-shedding fluff)
Location: Canyon Country CA

My Ideal Match: I’m looking for a human who loves to hang out at home as much as I do. I’m a "Stage 5 Clinger" in the best possible way. I want to be where you are! If you work from home or are retired, we are going to get along famously.

My Likes:
- Back rubs (I will melt).
- Blankets and toys.
- Walks (I have excellent leash manners).
- Snacks (will work for treats!).
- Calm respectful dogs

My Dislikes:
- Rain and cold weather (I’m a California boy at heart).
- Being left alone (I get anxious and bark to let you know I miss you). I do better if I have another dog-friend if you are not home.
- Liquid medicine (yuck).

The "Fine Print" (Must-Haves): I’m a sweet guy, but I have boundaries. I need a home without young children because I like my personal space, especially when I’m eating or playing with my toys. I need a patient leader who understands that my guarding is something I am unlearning.

I am neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and currently on an anxiety medication as my Foster Mom works away from home.

Did I mention I like to ‘sing’ along at sirens? My foster Mom says it’s pretty adorable.

Ready to meet me?

Apply to adopt Dodger today at bichonrescuebrigade.org/adopt/adoption-form
