Doc's Story

This 12-year-old senior gentleman is as sweet as they come... he's just still figuring out how to be loved.
Doc is a little anxious -- we think he's simply scared (poor baby!). After everything he's been through, he's still learning what safety feels like and that he's finally allowed to relax. He may need a little patience at first, but underneath that uncertainty is the most gentle soul.
He does have one strong opinion though... dinner time! 🍽️
Doc will absolutely let you know when it's time to eat -- expect some adorable yelling and a few paws on the bowl to make sure you didn't forget.
Doc does great with kids and other dogs and would love a calm home where he can continue to come out of his shell at his own pace. Who's ready to show this sweet senior what forever feels like? 🐾

To apply to have your home considered for adoption, read about our adoption process or fees, and find out about interstate transport, please visit our website at https://longwayhome.org/adopt.

❤
Long Way Home makes no guarantees on breed--most animals we receive from shelters are mixed breeds.
