Dobby's Story

Dobby is approx 4 year old treeing walker coonhound. He loves to run and play with the other dogs, although he can be selective on who is his friend. He also loves to hang out on the couch and snuggle.

Dobby has been doing more snuggling, less playing, as he was tested heartworm positive when he came in and is currently undergoing treatment. His activities are limited to short walks right now, but he is responding well and will slowly start to add in more activity as we get the clear from his vets!

Dobby is very food-motivated and LOOVES to work for food. Do you have some treats for him? He could be your new best friend!

11/25/19 Update: Dobby completed his heartworm treatment. The treatment and period of restricted activity was a little hard on him and he had to undergo some behavior modification for resource guarding with Halo K9 behavior. He is currently being slowly re-introduced to his dog friends and caretakers again and is doing well. We will continue to monitor him.
Dobby is really in need of a forever home where someone can provide the structure, care, and training he needs. Please ask about him and what he needs!

If you're interested, please fill out the adoption application on our website at wagsinn.com
Keep in mind that WagsInn only adopts out within a 60 mile radius of our location!
