Dobbie's Story
Meet Dobbie

Dobbie is a handsome 2-year-old black and tan Doberman with natural ears, a docked tail, and a big heart to match his 95-pound frame. Through no fault of his own, Dobbie is looking for a new home after his owner’s housing situation changed and she can no longer keep him.

Dobbie has been with his family since he was just 8 weeks old and has grown up in a home environment. He is fully housebroken and even rings a bell by the door when he needs to go outside. He spends most of his time inside with his people and sleeps on the floor next to the bed at night.

This boy truly embodies the Doberman “velcro dog” personality. Dobbie loves being close to his people and enjoys cuddling just as much as he enjoys running and playing outside. His energy level is about a 7 out of 10, so he would do best in an active home where he can get regular exercise and playtime.

Dobbie has lived with cats and does well with them, and he has also played nicely with other dogs. He has lived with a toddler and has done very well with children.
Like many Dobermans, Dobbie will bark when someone arrives at the house, but once properly introduced he warms up quickly and becomes friendly. He has no bite history and no known food or toy aggression.

Dobbie is neutered, housebroken, and crate trained, though he would much rather be out with his people. He is a loyal, affectionate boy who simply landed in an unfortunate situation and deserves a family who will give him the stability and love he’s used to.

If you think Dobbie could be the right fit for your home, please submit an application.
Adoption application: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/DPR/Dog

Doberman Pinscher Rescue of PA, Inc.
Kennel License #14649
