DJ's Story
DJ is a sweet, playful spayed female husky mix with plenty of energy and love to share. This fun-loving girl came to the shelter as a stray, so her past is a mystery, but she's already shown that she gets along well with other dogs and enjoys making new friends. Because her background is unknown, we are not sure how she does with cats or young children. Proper introductions are recommended. DJ is currently working on her house-training and leash manners while she waits for her forever family. With her active spirit and eager personality, she'll thrive with someone who can give her plenty of exercise, playtime, and continued guidance. If you're looking for a loyal companion who's always ready for an adventure and happy to shower you with affection, DJ may be the perfect fit! To schedule a time to meet DJ, please call (419) 294-4477 ext. 3 between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM.

WCHS Adoptions are a 2-Step Process

Step 1— Visit our shelter! (Appointments Required)
The animal of your choice will be reserved for you at the time of scheduling. (Prospective adopters may be shown multiple animals, subject to availability.)

Step 2— Pick up your new pet!
Pickups are generally 3-5 business days after completing adoption paperwork at your in-person appointment. This allows HOPE Clinic time to prep your new pet for their forever home, including spay/neuter surgery (if not already fixed), a microchip, vaccines, and other care depending on the species. Once the animal is ready, we'll call you to coordinate pickup! (Pickup times are generally in the evenings.)
