Dixon's Story

Dixon was in a foster home in Texas after his person became unable to properly care for him. When he arrived at HUA it was discovered that he was suffering from heartworm disease. Recovery on Dixon was tough because he is a playful, silly, happy boy that had to spend his days resting rather than having fun. Now that he is all better Dixon is making up for lost time. This pup is so much fun–he loves his toys, walks on his leash, bounding about the yards and soaking up attention from the humans who think he is a gem. He truly is a social butterfly and just a joyful pup. Dixon did great in his foster home and liked hanging with the older kids. At this time, however, he will not be successful in a home with other animals. His new family members will be lucky to have him as theirs.

Visit Dixon at www.hua.org!
