Dixie--only 32 pounds!

Hi everyone! My name is Dixie, and I am a sweet, loving, spayed female Puggle/Cocker Spaniel mix!. I'm not quite 1.5 years old and am a very snuggleable 32 pounds!!<br/><br/>I started my life in a Kentucky shelter as a sad-eyed puppy and just about one year later, I was brought back to that same shelter as a stray. No one knows what happened while I was gone, but someone did housetrain me, so now I go to the door and whimper when I have to do my business! <br/><br/>I'm the perfect medium-sized dog. I like to curl up into a small ball for sleeping and crawl into your lap for belly rubs. I don't shed much at all and have very cute, distinguishing patches of white fur on my nose and my chest. <br/><br/>My foster family can't keep their hands off me because I have the SOFTEST fur imaginable! I love everyone -- adults, kids and dogs. I've ignored the few cats that I've been introduced to, so a cat sibling would probably be OK for me. <br/><br/>I am very affectionate and will give you kisses every chance I get. I'm learning to stop jumping on things, which is hard because I'm very curious about my surroundings. I know how to sit and am eager to please.<br/><br/>My foster dad wonders what's on my mind. He thinks I look very serious in all my pictures, but I'm really a fun loving girl! I just have the furrowed brow that is characteristic of pugs. I'm super social, love to play and cuddle, and would make a GREAT family dog.<br/><br/>I like to go for walks and am working on my leash manners, but my dream home would have a fenced in yard where I could run and work off some of my puppy energy. I'm in great health and ready to share a long life with the right family.
