Dixie Mae's Story

Here's a shout out to Dixie Mae, a pretty 3-year old heeler-shepherd mix ready for her next adventure with a forever family. Dixie Mae weighs about 42 pounds and loves outdoor times with other dogs in her fenced-in yard and on walks. She has brown stockings, muzzle, and apron and a white spot--called a Bentley Mark--on her forehead. She is so happy when she sees her leash come out and will often "stop, drop, and roll" during those neighborhood walks. Whoever walks her loves to see her thick, somewhat shorter-than-expected tail wagging away. She enjoys spending time with her foster family--in the kitchen, office, TV room for Phillies games, or even outside during her foster Mom's weeding duties. And her presence sure does make those weeds not nearly so annoying. After a busy day, she is happy to curl up by her foster Mom's feet and sleep. Dixie Mae is house-trained, micro-chipped, spayed, and up-to-date on all her vaccinations. Her bags are packed and she is ready for a happy place with a dedicated family who appreciate that she might be a bit reserved at first but want to provide a safe and loving landing for her.

Please email us at
AlmostHome4Dogs@yahoo.com
for an application or more information.

(Local adoptions preferred — Philadelphia and tri-state area [South Jersey and northern Delaware] only.)
