Dixie Chick is sure to wiggle her way into your heart!

"Hi! I’m Dixie Chick. My hobbies include snuggling, kissing, playing pretend, (I’m really good at pretending to be a little lapdog!) dancing (I’m known for my wiggling skills!) and PLAYING!"

"Don’t be fooled though, I’m not JUST a cutie, I’m also a tough girl. I’ve been called strong and active - but I really just love having fun and spending time with my loved ones! I would really love to be a part of a big family, children included, but no other dogs or cats. I want to share all the love I have in my heart with as many people as I can!"

"Come visit me at Fayette County Animal Rescue soon, I can’t wait to give you a kiss and show you my dance moves!"

FOSTER UPDATE!!

*Tell us about a time that made you smile or when they did something cute or heartwarming.
"She loves laying on my lap and staring at me with devotion."

*When was your foster the happiest? What did that look like?
"When she’s curled up next to us on the couch."

*Tell us any ways that your foster grew, or anything learned while in your home.
"We are working on sit and stay. She’s just over halfway there."

*Briefly describe your foster. What kind of home do you think your foster would blossom in?
"I believe the best home for her would be a single person or a couple that wants the companionship of a dog. She is also great with children, but I believe she would be happiest being an only child."

Our goal is to find loving homes for all our rescued animals. Because we care about our rescues and their future, some animals have certain new family requirements before they can be released to their new home. Requirements for adoption could include the following:

• Fenced yard (required for most dogs) and home inspection for all animals; we will complete an onsite fence/home check prior to completing the adoption. *Fenced yard required. (We do not accept invisible fences.)
• Veterinary reference for previous pet owners (must be/have been current on vaccinations and heartworm prevention)
• If no previous veterinary history, purchase of 3- month heartworm prevention
• If renting, verification with Landlord on acceptability of pets and any restrictions, pet deposit, etc.
• Meet and greet with current pets to ensure compatibility

Note: We will call your current/previous veterinarian to verify that you have a history of providing vaccinations and heartworm prevention for your animal(s). We do a physical home/fence inspection prior to completing the adoption if a fence is required.
