DIXIE - ARRIVING IN MAINE JUNE 13TH's Story

Meet Delightful DIXIE!

At just seven weeks old, little DIXIE found herself sitting outside a HomeGoods store in eastern Tennessee, being given away to anyone willing to take her.

No questions. No applications. No promises of safety. No way to know where she might end up.

It’s hard to imagine looking into those sweet eyes and deciding that her future was worth no more thought than a quick handoff in a parking lot. Yet that was the reality this tiny puppy faced before a rescue stepped in.

DIXIE should have been worrying about puppy things—chasing toys, taking naps, and learning that the world is a safe place. Instead, she was one stranger away from a life that could have gone in any direction.

Thankfully, her story isn’t ending there.

This beautiful brindle girl is expected to arrive in Maine in mid-June, and we’re determined to make sure the next chapter of her life is filled with love, security, and the family she deserves.

Just look at her. Even after being discarded so casually, she’s still holding onto hope. Curled up with her toys, trusting the people around her, and waiting for someone to show her that not all humans let puppies down.

DIXIE is counting on us to help her find the happy ending she deserves.

If you’ve been thinking about adding a puppy to your family, maybe DIXIE is the one who’s been waiting for you

Would you like to adopt DIXIE?
