Dixie's Story

This sweetie pie is an eight-year-old, 30-pound Beagle mix who was surrendered to the shelter due to her owner's health. She's a sweet, outspoken, and sassy girl who has all the classic Beagle traits. She loves people of all ages and grew up in a home with children, other dogs, and cats. She sometimes has a hard time containing her excitement, so she barks when she's excited or when she wants to let you know a squirrel is trespassing in her yard.

Since Dixie loves people so much, she also loves curling up in bed with them at night. She LOVES food and treats, so you can use that to your advantage when getting to know her! Dixie's future owner should know that she cannot eat chicken and will need a little help perfecting her potty training.

Dixie is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on her vaccines. You can visit her at the shelter Tuesdays through Saturdays from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM or Sundays from 12:00 to 5:00 PM.
