Disco Queen's Story
Meet Disco Queen - In Foster

This Maltese/Shih tzu mix is a short stack senior cutie who knows what you did last summer and will tell all your neighbors.

When she gets excited she sounds like a 2 pack a day smoker but after an exam, bloodwork, and X-rays the vet said she's fine, she just has a "sensitive trachea".

Mostly what she gets excited about is food. She will tell you and anyone within yelling distance that she has not been fed and will fight anyone who says she DID already get breakfast. When told she is on a diet due to her chonkiness, she responded diet = riot. Due to her propensity for stealing food when no one's looking, or even if they are, Disco Queen needs to be fed away from any other dogs.

If she decides she likes you, you may pet her, however, being allowed to pick her up requires a higher level of being than most of us have attained. (Her foster has recently been deemed worthy and now naps with her in a recliner.)

While Disco Queen's still not quite recovered from the mortifying experience of being shaved, her breed does need regular grooming (she asked me to make sure to say "Professional" grooming because as we all know ya have to look good to feel good.)

As far as living with other household members she currently lives with other dogs, and everyone gets along. She would probably be fine with cats after an appropriate slow introduction, and she is open to the idea of kids if they are chill and let her snooze on her bed undisturbed. She is not down with shenanigans unless it was her idea.

If this glorious senior lady sounds like a good addition to your life, please fill out an adoption application on our website: www.hsmcohio.org

Our adoption fees vary, Shelter Dogs are $180, Prison Dogs are $250, Puppies are $300, and Popular Pure-Breeds are $400. The price includes: a Home Again Microchip, set of shots, de-worming, heartworm testing (if old enough), spay or neuter, and a 1 year rabies shot (if old enough). All dogs adopted must leave with a county license at an additional cost of $21.
If you are interested in this dog, please call the shelter at 614-879-8368 or fill out an online application at www.hsmcohio.org
